About The Event

Join us in Baltimore!

We’ve all heard about the supposed conflict between science and faith. But what if there’s more to the story, a richer vision of harmony to be shared with the world around us? Join BioLogos at the waterfront Hyatt Regency in Baltimore’s picturesque Inner Harbor for the 2019 BioLogos Conference, Beyond Conflict: Science, Faith, & the Big Questions, March 27 – 29, 2019.

Engaging Presentations

Explore the tough questions with top scholars and communicators.

As we explore the harmony between science and faith, we’re delighted to present some some of the top scholars and communicators in the BioLogos community. You’ll hear from BioLogos founder Francis Collins, pastor and author John Ortberg, journalist Jonathan Merritt, astronomer Jennifer Wiseman, church historian Justo González, Oxford science-religion scholar Bethany Sollereder, BioLogos President Deb Haarsma, and more! Worship throughout the conference will be led by musician, author, and pastor Aaron Niequist.

In-Depth Workshops

One of the best parts of a BioLogos conference is the people you’ll meet.

Join us for one of three topical workshops on Thursday afternoon, where you can get a crash course in Evolution 101, explore different understandings of Adam and the Fall, or get an interdisciplinary overview of origins issues. Or sign up for one of the pre-conference workshops, where you can join other ministry leaders, educators, or scientists and learn from top leaders on to engage science and faith in your particular sphere.

BioLogos 10th Anniversary Banquet

We’re excited to close our conference with a special 10th Anniversary Banquet, where BioLogos founder and renowned geneticist Francis Collins, along with influential theologian Richard Mouw, will reflect on BioLogos’ history and mission and look ahead to the pressing science-faith issues of the next ten years. You won’t want to miss this unique evening, included with your conference registration!

Night at the Aquarium

Join ecologist Rick Lindroth and fellow attendees for an exclusive after-hours exploration of the world-renowned National Aquarium!

Just a short stroll from the conference venue, you’ll be able to experience the diverse majesty of God’s creation, from the tropical birds, sloths, and monkeys in Tropical Rainforest, to the countless sharks and fish of Blacktip Reef, the world’s largest reproduction of an Indo-Pacific reef. University of Wisconsin-Madison ecologist Rick Lindroth (BioLogos Voices) will share a compelling presentation on ecology and creation care as we consider our proper role in God’s creation. Spaces will be limited, so register early!

Testimonials

Attendees from various backgrounds shared their insights from the 2017 BioLogos conference!
"I really didn't know what to expect, but it has been really world-changing. It's really changed my perspective on ministry itself, especially for families. The church hasn't really been a great place to ask these hard questions. So as a minister for kids, now I have the resources to help create a space in ministry for those kids, to have their questions heard and processed, so I'm really excited."

Josué
Youth Pastor
"There's a lot of questions even in small congregations like mine around how we integrate what we're learning from the scientific community with what we see coming to us from Scripture. BioLogos is doing a great job of giving the intellectual tools needed to help to have those conversations. For someone like me, a pastor with no formal scientific training, that's just so helpful to be able to bring to my people and have those conversations."

Mark
Pastor
"The whole conference was top-notch, and I really enjoyed it. I loved the awestruck, worshipful atmosphere through the whole event, with the blend of praise, scientific explanation, and theological exploration."

Steven
Student
"Being with other people who get it and being able to celebrate the majesty of creation in a more complete way with a group of like-minded followers of Jesus may have been the best thing about the conference for me. At times it was almost overwhelming. Thank you!"
